Our Union, Our Services, Our History - New Free Short Course

UNISON will be running a short course for any UNISON members interested in learning more about the history of UNISON.

The course consists of 6 Thursday evening sessions plus a Saturday School, commencing on Thursday 7th November from 6:30pm to 9pm at UNISON Regional Office, Birmingham.

Macmillan Coffee Morning: A Big Thank You!

The Branch would like to say a big thank you to everyone that helped, contributed and attended our Macmillan Coffee Morning last Friday.

We had a great turn out and managed to raise £210, which I’m sure you’ll all agree is going to a very worthy charity.

UNISON plan to take the donation in person to the Douglas Macmillan Hospice in Stoke-on-Trent in the next few weeks.

NUT and NASUWT Industrial Action - Advice for UNISON Members in Schools

You may be aware that colleagues from NUT & NASUWT are taking strike action in Staffordshire on 1st October, as a result of this action UNISON National Office have provided the following advice for members during this time.

Local Government Unions Accept Pay Offer

UNISON & UNITE have reached agreement with Staffordshire County Council that Green Book Staff will  receive the agreed 1% pay increase (backdated to 1st April 2013) in Septembers pay. Further information can be found here.
